Want To Be More Productive?

We have the ultimate hack for you!

We have a secret productivity hack to share with you, it works and is an LSP client favorite!

If you often feel overwhelmed by your to-do list, not knowing where to start and instead of putting pen to paper, end up sitting at your desk scrolling on Tikok and Instagram, then this tip is for you…

Do you often find yourself…

Putting off tasks that need to be done

Feeling overwhelmed by your to-do list

Looking for other things to do such as unpacking the dishwasher or putting clothes away

Struggling to stay focussed and on task

Easily distracted by scrolling on your phone

Would you instead like to feel…

 Motivated

That you have more control over your schedule

Clear direction on where to start

Proud of yourself for what you have achieved

The Pomodoro Technique was first developed by a university student, Francesco Cirillo, in the late 1980s to help him to focus and finish his assignments and is still widely used today. When we complete tasks, we release dopamine which creates feelings of happiness and motivation. This positive response gives us pleasure for not only completing the task, but also makes us feel motivated to repeat the process. This positive association is how the Pomodoro Technique works, by setting small productive sprints that you then want to repeat!

Why does it work?

It gets you started on your tasks

It helps improve your concentration

It minimises distractions

It helps you to organise and prioritise tasks

It supports you to break down tasks so they don't feel overwhelming

It gives you structure

It allows for breaks to help you stay focussed

To help you get started, we have created a quick and easy checklist for you to follow...give it a go!

(don’t forget to tick off your tasks as you complete them for the ultimate dopamine release and feel-good boost)

The Rachael Edit

‘Increasing focus and productivity absolutely can have really positive effects both on your to-do list and your mood, however, expecting to “always” work at your best can sometimes be unhelpful.

So whilst the Pomodoro Technique has been shown to work really well for increasing focus and productivity, this does not mean it is going to “work” for everyone, every time. Having expectations that are unrealistic tends to increase frustration, and self-critical thinking, so when implementing any productivity strategies, it can be helpful to keep in mind “no one gets a personal best every day."
